Ten years ago, building a wedding website meant hiring a developer or using clunky website builders that required a learning curve most couples didn't have time for. Today, you can launch a complete, beautiful wedding website in under 10 minutes. Here's exactly how.
What Your Wedding Website Should Do
Before building, be clear on the job your website needs to do. A wedding website is your guests' single source of truth. It should answer every logistical question before they ask it:
- When and where are all the events?
- How do I get there? Where do I park?
- Where can I stay if I'm traveling from out of town?
- What should I wear?
- How do I confirm my attendance?
If your website answers all five questions clearly, you've done the most important part right.
Step 1: Create Your Account
Sign up at amantran.click/login and navigate to the Wedding Websites section in your dashboard. Click "New Website" to start. You'll be prompted to enter your names and wedding date — this is used to auto-populate the countdown timer and hero section.
Step 2: Choose a Theme
Amantran's website builder offers multiple premium themes. Each one comes with pre-built sections, a coordinated color palette, and mobile-optimized layouts. You can switch themes at any time without losing your content — so choose one that's close to your vision and refine it later.
For a traditional Indian wedding: the Royal Gold or Ivory Rose themes work beautifully. For a modern or destination wedding: the Minimal or Contemporary themes offer a cleaner look.
Step 3: Fill In the Hero Section
The hero is the first thing guests see. Enter:
- Bride and groom names (these appear inside your chosen frame design)
- Wedding date and time
- A short tagline or couple's quote (optional but adds warmth)
The frame picker gives you 15+ decorative frame styles — from a simple circle to lotus-inspired designs. Choose one that reflects your wedding aesthetic.
Step 4: Add Your Events
In the Schedule section, add each ceremony with its date, time, and venue. For a typical Gujarati or North Indian wedding, this might include Sangeet/Garba, Mehendi, Haldi, Lagna, and Reception as separate entries. Each event gets its own card in the timeline view.
Step 5: Set Up the RSVP Form
Toggle the RSVP section on. The form automatically collects:
- Guest name
- Attendance confirmation (attending / not attending)
- Number of adults and children
- Meal preference (Jain, Veg, Regular, or Other)
- Additional notes
You'll receive every response in your RSVP dashboard — with live stats, meal breakdowns, and the option to export everything as a CSV file for your caterer.
Step 6: Add a Music Player (Optional)
The Music Player section adds a floating widget to your published site. Add an audio URL (any direct link to an MP3 file), set a track title and artist name, and enable autoplay if you'd like the music to start automatically when guests visit. This is a popular touch for couples who have a "song" — guests love discovering it on the website before the wedding.
Step 7: Publish and Share
Click Publish. Your site goes live immediately at yourname.amantran.click. Share this link in your WhatsApp invitation, generate a QR code that links to it (using Amantran's built-in QR generator), and embed the QR code in your invitation PDF.
From that point, every guest who scans or clicks has everything they need — and every RSVP goes directly to your dashboard.
Keeping It Updated
The wedding website isn't a one-and-done project. Return to it whenever:
- A venue or time changes
- Accommodation details are confirmed
- You want to add new photos from your pre-wedding shoot
- You have updates for outstation guests
Unlike a printed card, updates on your website reach all guests instantly — no reprints, no phone trees.
